How to use Google Photos and why?
Google Photos is the best app to store and share all your photos.
It makes sharing, storing, and finding photos extremely easy and keeps all the metadata intact. (date taken, device taken on, place taken*)
Whenever you share your photos on WhatsApp, it strips off all the EXIF data of the photo, which would mean the date that you captured the photo becomes the date you shared it on WhatsApp. It also compresses the picture considerably. This might not be important, but after let's say 10 years, you want to know when a particular photo is taken, that would make it impossible.
Google photos also helps you sort your entire photo library into People, Places* and Things.
*depending on if you are saving your location along with the photo
